How Lack of Purpose and Direction Causes Stress in the Body
Tension. Anxiety. Fear. Worry. Guilt. Doubt.
These things rob my energy. I recognize this and I know it. But how do I stop it? And why are they here? I know better, I am better than that…what happened to cause this?
Nothing but lack of purpose and direction.
The magic happens for me when I commit to a goal. All of a sudden I remember how to set boundaries. I manage my days to ensure I practice self care and put myself first.
Without a goal I flounder through life letting all kinds of unhealthy behaviours creep in and rob me. I would like to say it won’t happen again but I’m human. It’s part of my nature. It’s innate for this human.
So without stressing about it I now recognize that when I feel this it’s time to do something that scares me – just a little.
- If I’m going to feel fear it may as well be a healthy fear aligned to growth.
- If I’m going to feel tense it’s because it’s it’s an abundance of excitement and anticipation.
- If I’m going to experience worry, doubt and anxiety it may as well be because I care enough to step outside of my comfort zone.
So today I welcome those feelings, put them into their right perspective and step right up to my process!
